As founder John Mleziva reflects on how he ended up at this moment of having just released our first whiskey, an accomplishment 6 years in the making (10+ years if you count his time studying in Scotland), he finds himself reflecting on how all his life experiences have contributed to arriving at this place. 

It’s well-known around the Distillery that one of founder John Mleziva’s favorite cocktails to enjoy is a gin martini served on the rocks with a twist of lemon. Over the years, our staff has learned to ask if he would rather have a proper martini or a ‘Mleziva Martini’.

It’s probably not every day you see a distillery advocating to not drink spirits for a month. Truthfully, we didn’t know if this was a good idea until you all told us.
